Philadelphia’s premier food and beverage event Philly Pours will be back in person this year on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 6 pm. This annual event’s fun-filled circus-themed night experience at City Winery located in Philadelphia’s Fashion District will feature corks (wine) and crafts (beer) courtesy of City Winery. Signature cocktails will be provided by Beam Suntory, and guests can enjoy these beverages served by Nate Rogers and Lamont Darrien. Nate Rogers is a Philadelphia native and 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, having done everything from barbacking to bartending and managing restaurants and clubs.

Lamont Darrien, another native to Philadelphia, is an expert in mixology, possessing knowledge in understanding the history of ingredients, and dissecting flavor profiles. He uses unique ingredients to craft premium beverages and help guide guests to identify their own palates. Funds raised by Philly Pours goes to the hosting organization Resources for Human Development (RHD). The event benefits RHD’s 50 years and counting mission to support people of all ability levels with effective, innovative, and person-centered programs that address behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD), addiction recovery, children and families, veterans, and homelessness.

RHD helped create programs like the Lower Merion Vocational Training Center, Lower Merion Counseling & Mobile Services, The Woodstock Family Center, and Children’s Outreach Services Program to name a few. If anyone is interested in donating to the Philly Pours in order to support the RHD mission there is a donation page on the organization’s website. There are two types of tickets available for purchase, there’s the general admission ticket at $75 and then there is the VIP The Corks & Crafts Experience at $150 where VIP guests can discover tantalizing new wines and craft beer in a tasting led by the City Winery team.

If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding the event, including COVID safety protocols, they can contact Torrina Bennett-Michael, Director of Development, at (267) 279-4295 or torrina.bennett-michael@rhd.org.
